About Amazon
Unless you’re using the internet for the first time, you’ll be aware that Amazon is a retail giant. Initially acting as a marketplace that allows other stores to list and sell their products, Amazon has since expanded to offer everything from movie streaming to mobile phones and retailing their own Amazon-branded products.
It's doubtful you could think of a product which isn’t available on Amazon. Whether you're seeking clothing, household goods, tech accessories or even groceries, it's all there.
With stores all competing against each other prices are kept low, making Amazon great for deals. You can usually get free shipping on orders over £20, but Prime members will always get free next day delivery included on eligible products.
Amazon hasn’t forgotten about students - its Amazon Prime Student programme offers the same benefits of Amazon Prime, but with 50% off the monthly Prime fee. Students always get a free six month trial of Prime Student, too, making it a no-brainer if you're looking to order something or keen to try out its Video and Music options.

How to get student discount at Amazon
It’s straightforward for students to claim their free 6-month trial of Amazon Prime. The quickest way to do so is with a university email account (ending in .ac.uk). Still, if you don’t have access to yours, you can also verify your student status with student ID or university documents.
How to get Amazon student discount with your university email account
Remember to set a reminder on your phone, so you don’t forget when the trial is coming to an end. If you don’t cancel it, it’ll automatically renew at £3.99 per month (though that’s still a bargain for what you get).

Amazon sales, offers, and promotions

Amazon Warehouse
Amazon Warehouse is the place to shop for quality pre-owned, used, or open-box products.
This area of the Amazon site specialises in offering great deals on returned, warehouse damaged, used or refurbished products. All items are in good condition but don’t meet Amazon’s rigorous standards to be certified as ‘new’. They still come with all the benefits of Amazon’s fulfilment and customer service.
Some products are in new condition but have damaged packaging. This can be as simple as a slight tear to the outer cardboard box, so it’s well worth taking a look - especially if you’re only buying the item for yourself anyway.
