It’s easy to get your 10% student discount at Boots - just follow these simple steps:

• Head in-store
• Fill your basket
• Go to the checkout
• Show your student ID and Boots Advantage Card
• Get 10% off this purchase and all other purchases until 31st August (you usually won’t need to present your student ID again until the next time you shop after 31st August)

How to use your Boots student discount online

Once you’ve visited in-store once and had your student ID linked to your Boots Advantage Card, your 10% off will be linked to the card and you’ll be able to use the discount online, too.

Just make sure the same Advantage Card is linked to your online account - the saving will be automatically deducted at the checkout, so you won’t need to enter any codes.

You can skip delivery fees too by choosing to Click & Collect from your local store – it’s free on orders of £20 or more, or just £1.50 if you spend less.

Can all students use student discount at Boots?

Yes - all you need is valid student ID to link the discount in the first instance. Whether you’re studying via distance learning, part-time or full-time, as long as you have student ID you can get the offer. It doesn’t need to be an actual university-issued ID card - you can present your TOTUM card or digital UNiDAYS or Student Beans ID instead.

Are any items excluded from Boots student discount?

Yes, there are a few exclusions you need to be aware of. You won’t be able to use the discount on NHS prescription costs, selected dispensary items and pharmacy services.

Other exclusions include infant formula milk, all Dyson branded products, Chanel products, mobile phone top-up cards, gift cards, postage stamps, Boots insurance (excluding travel insurance), travel services, Boots Hearingcare, bootsphoto.com, third party websites and the plastic bag levy. In addition, the 10% discount is not available on gift boxes and delivery charges for purchases made online.

Can I use my Boots student discount with any other offers?

The student discount offer can’t be used in conjunction with Staff Discount cards or the Contact Lens Rewards Scheme. You can use it on top of offers such as 3 for 2 or 25% off, which offers the chance for some fantastic savings! There are also regular promo codes you can stack the discount with too – since Boots’ student discount is automatically applied, the promo box is left available at the checkout for any other codes you find!

Boots has regular offers, including its popular Star Buys which are updated weekly, usually throughout the festive reason. You can find savings of up to 50% on fragrances, electric toothbrushes, and more. Watch out for amazing offers around Black Friday and Cyber Monday too, and in the Boxing Day sales. The Boots Boxing Day sale is always a huge hit, so you’ve got to be quick to get the best bargains online. In January, any remaining stock tends to have a 70% discount applied, followed by up to 90% off anything that’s still available from the Christmas range.

Boots Advantage Card

Boots Advantage Card is the retailer’s loyalty scheme, offering you the chance to earn 4 points (worth 4p) for every £1 you spend. If you’re a regular shopper at Boots, you can rack up points quickly, especially as there are often ‘extra points’ offers and promotions. You can redeem your points for money off (though they can’t be used as part-payment). For example, 3560 points would be worth £35.60, and enough to get you your favourite foundation for free!

There are also tons of exclusive Advantage Card holder offers available through the Boots app. You just need to select which offers you’re interested in and load them onto your card so they can be automatically applied when you’re at the checkout. It’s as simple as that!

Recycle at Boots

Boots is doing its bit to help keep our planet beautiful by offering you the chance to bring in any empty beauty, health, wellness and dental products (from any brand), that can’t be recycled at home.

When you bring five empty products to one of the in-store recycle bins, Boots will give you 250 Advantage Card points when you spend £10 or more (worth £2.50). Everyone’s a winner!
